Sacred Dragonfly - Canvas Print

Sacred Dragonfly is from the Sacred Series. Created around 2006, this piece was inspired by a two week study of Sacred Geometry followed by several days of study on Chakras.

I studied Sacred Geometry from the view of mathematics, geometry, biology, architecture and physics. And then I spent time studying the emotional, metaphysical, divine and spitritual angles. All this was followed by a study of the human chakras. I delved into frequencies and wavelengths as well as the medical and physical aspects. I believe the proper sequence of light and sound can heal anything.

Sacred Dragonfly is derived from the vesica piscis, one of the most basic forms in sacred geometry. It is unique due to it's asymmetry. We see the shape of a butterfly as well as a cross, which is a subtle reminder of the divinity within all things.
